Guided By Tradition - Moving Toward the Future

Moving Forward Together

In our traditions, a canoe does not move forward because of one strong paddler.
It moves because everyone knows their role, listens to one another, and pulls in the same direction.

This is how healthy communities, families, and organizations are built—through shared responsibility, mutual respect, and collective purpose. When we honor where we come from and move together with intention, we create momentum that carries us through calm waters and rough ones alike.

Our safety and security offerings integrate trauma-informed principles with real-world physical security expertise. Services focus on proactive risk awareness, environmental safety, and practical strategies that support staff confidence, dignity, and well-being—without relying on fear-based or punitive approaches. Consulting and training are tailored to the unique needs of organizations, teams, and facilities and can be provided interpedently or can be integrated into broader training projects.

We help Tribes and states turn Medicaid waiver authority into real, reimbursable, culturally grounded practice. Led by a nationally recognized implementer who guided  the first Tribal health program in the country to successfully bill Medicaid for traditional Tribal healing services, we provide end-to-end support — from program design and documentation standards to billing workflows and staff training. Our approach honors sovereignty, protects cultural integrity, and builds sustainable funding pathways for traditional healing within modern health systems.

Our ethics training is grounded in relational responsibility, harmony, and balance. Rather than focusing only on rules or compliance, this approach emphasizes how ethical practice is lived through relationships—with clients, communities, colleagues, and ourselves. Participants explore decision-making that honors dignity, cultural context, accountability, and the long-term impact of their actions.

Our trauma-informed care training can be offered as a stand-alone course or integrated throughout all of our trainings and consulting services. Grounded in an understanding of how stress and trauma affect individuals, teams, and systems, this approach emphasizes safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. Whether taught independently or woven into other topics, trauma-informed principles guide how we approach de-escalation, ethics, leadership, and organizational practice.
